I bought the 60 last month. All I've done is give it a once over, have my mechanic make sure it was good to go, clean it up a little, and now I'm ready to let it go.

I really could not believe how well it was set up. The former owner said he's the 2nd owner and he didn't get a whole lot of info from the young woman he bought it from a few years back. Checking it out, whoever did the upgrades really knew what they were doing and spared no expense. Here's the details:

177,000 original miles
Head was professionally rebuilt less than 1000 miles ago
Duel battery setup
GMC alternator setup
Correctly installed kill switch
H55 five speed transmission
OEM cable locking full-floater differentials front & rear
Custom Off-road fabricated transfer case armor
All new OEM tie-rods & tie-rod ends
Wagongear tailgate storage
Internal roll cage
Completely reupholstered front & rear seats
New Kenwood KDC-BT838 HD stereo
OEM electric antenna from an FJ62
Polk audio speakers front & rear
Custom fitted waterproof floor mats
Dash cover with no cracks
Tuffy center console
Magnum 257 import CB radio
ARB roof rack with front wind deflector
Hi-lift Jack mounted to the roof rack with Fourtreks custom mounts
WARN front bumper with fabricated stinger and KC driving lights
WARN Model 25314 9000 lb. winch
Safari Snorkel
Correctly fabricated air cleaner that attaches to snorkel on the passenger side
Custom Off-road fabricated rear bumper with swing-outs for the spare & two 20L gas cans
PIAA lights mounted into the rear bumper
Ladder mounted to the rear hatch

I'm sure I am missing something, but these are the most noticeable upgrades. No rust damage anywhere as this 60 has always resided in Southern California. Zero frame damage anywhere as far as me or my mechanic can tell. The title is clean and it's registered until July 2014. I got it to pass the visual inspection to get smogged by putting in a "correct" OEM air cleaner, which I will include with your purchase. No accidents, but the front clip was repainted according to the previous owner because the paint on the hood and front quarter panels were peeling from sun damage. It has a few minor dings here and there and the paint on the roof is somewhat weathered, but I wanted to keep it as close to original as possible so doing the minor body work is up to the next owner.

I am asking $20K, but I am open to reasonable offers (with the emphasis on REASONABLE!). I know what I have and I am in no rush to sell. If you know a good mechanic or a fellow Landcruiser enthusiast in the San Gabriel area who you'd like to check it out, you can either email me at ocho4i@yahoo.com, or call me on my cell at 323-309-5647. Trust me, if you check it out, you'll know it's worth every penny I am asking for it.

I am new to these forums and all I've been able to post are 2 photos. Anyone know how I can get enough allowable storage so I can post more pics?

Actually, since last month. Don't know what the prior owner was up to but I've already been receiving c**p for the postings of the previous owner. If you're interested in purchasing the rig, let me know. If you're interested in giving s**t to the previous owner, send him a private message.

Ocho4i=8/41, the month and year that my dad was born. Sorry for the coincidence, but can't do anything about that. Do you want me to post my registration documents or something? I've been getting nothing but harassing emails since I posted this.

Nice truck with a fuzzy history on this site. It might help sell the rig if you did share some information about the truck's history and your purchase of it.

We love a good story - best way to reduce the doubt and derision - and to make a sale. Photos and a little information about yourself might help as well.

Good luck. :bounce::bounce2:

why did you buy her and are getting rid of it a month later bro? ih8mud is for people who love their 60s.. i think thats why you are getting bad s*^T for it.. sounds like you just want to make money so maybe posting hey i bought this rig... but now i'm hurting for money so decided to sale my baby... something like that would fly much better.... but then you would be just lying now. cool rig though!

Funny Chit.

The rig is exactly the same and e-mail is same as the original poster of the rig.he just remove the plates i think even under the hood is identical. 20k? GLWS:hillbilly:

LOL that sure is quite the coincidence... Why don't you stop digging down deeper with all these hilarious lies and be honest? Then you might be able to sell this truck.

Good luck with the sell bud :)

I bought the rig with every intention of putting it to good use here in the San Gabriel mountains. I had an FJ60 for a couple of years when I was in college and I had always had an eye out to purchase another one. When I saw the for sale sign on this one, I jumped on it. Unfortuantly, the advancing arthritis in my hips makes operating the manual transmission a little too painful for me. (I have a 2013 Tacoma 4X4 automatic and that will remain my trail riding rig for the forseeable future.)

It sucks that I have to pay for the sins of the previouse owner, but what is, is. (He told me that this site was populated by Landcruiser enthusiasts, so that's why I chose to list it for sale here.) Again, the rig speaks for itself and my loss will, hopefully, turn out to be somone else's gain.

can you post the VIN number? I'm sure a possible buyer would love to check the carfax to learn the history of the truck.

Here is a copy of the Autocheck history report. Not seeing that it changed hands in 2007. New title issued in October. Only driven 9K miles in 10 years.

Well, it certainly is a very nice truck... I wouldn't pay $20K for it though, and in its current configuration, will fail CA smog.

Good luck with the sale!

Wanna trade for very low-mileage 74 FJ40? :D

Nice truck. But, I've got to admit, I'm more impressed with the memory and fact-checking going on by other members. As a rookie, it's great to see this level of commitment from others on this site.

Def a nice rig...will make someone very happy. Just not sure I would pay 20k for it either. Good luck with the sale.
