I am trying to install the second battery tray on the passenger side.
what bolts do I need.
The power steering hose is in the way.
The tray does not seem to fit nicely, Do I need to trim?
If trim, what to trim and what is best way?

There are no power steering hoses on the right side of the engine.

The mounting bolts are 91652-G0820 x5

The tray needs to be trimmed in the inner edge where it interfaces with the fan shroud. Wear protective clothing, eye protection and do not breathe in the dust. Cut a little at a time and trial fit often.

It sounds like whoever you got the tray from did not fill you in too well. Did yo get the J-bolts, lock nuts and bar?

What is 91652-G0820 x 5? A Toyota part number?
What is the best way to cust it, I mean what tool should I use?
yes I did get the J-bolts lock-bolts and the bar.

You have to relocate the washer fluid resevoir but, as Dan pointed out, the PS hoses are on the other side of the engine.

Yes, with x5 indicating the quantity.

A coping saw.

I used a diagonal cutter, and it cut very cleanly with little to no fiberglass dust.

Here is a diagonal cutter: diagonal_cutter

I just used a jig saw. Wear long sleeves and gloves-the dust will make you itch.

There is an A/C hose near there-is that the hose you mean?

It is the A/c hose, I incorrectly said it was a PS hose.
It bulges up. Do I just squish it down?

This afternoon I succesfully finished the Slee-Off-Road windshield resevoir relocation. Yah!

Now I am into the second battery tray project.
So it looks like a diagonal cutter will do the trick. What do I do about the piece of foam that glued to the tray? From what I understand from all responses I have to cut that side. Do I put the foam back when done cutting?

And the big question, how much do I cut? Can some one attached a picture showing specifically how the tray is installed in relation to the radiator?

Sorry to be slow, but this car inspires me to do it myself. I don't usually work on cars but this car asks for it and with this board help, it looks like everything is possible.

Do you mean the 1" wide end needs to be made 1/2 inch wide?

If I am looking at the tray standing on a table, open end toward me, on the right side the end will have a 1" verticle strip of foam facing me. This will interface with the fan cover, as I can see on driver side tray installation.

That should be trimmed to be thinner?

All I had to cut was the flat surface that was next to the radiator, i.e. the part that is on the same plane as the front of the vehicle. It was about a 3/4 inch tab that ran from the botton to the top, if I remember correctly.

Once I did that, it fit with some very minor fine tuning. I put some black duct tape over the edge to contain any lose fiberglass.

Here is a picture of the foam verticle on the right.
My understanding is that I need to make that thinner.
What about the foam?

Here is a side view of my tray, after trimming. I have never installed it as I have too much other crap in the way.

Get yer billfold out.........:flipoff2:

Dan does have some cool toys.....

RH - Yep, I lost the foam on mine. I wanted to find a new home for it, but it wasn't to be. Instead, I put a strip of duct tape down the edge, and plan on doing another strip of duct tape to seal it to the radiator.

I'm still waiting for the battery I ordered, which is now going on it's friggin fourth week on back order.

OK Success.
Basically you have to trim the lip and push it down.
Now I have to get the bolts cdan mentioned.

I am going to start a new battery options.
