I’ve never seen hardware like that. My collection is exclusively eye bolts and bolts with raised outer edge, which is what I believe came once the eye bolts were no longer standard.

Hey guys.

I'm working on getting my 64 ready to pass inspection and apparently they want seat belts installed. :D

I found several threaded inserts on the tub for this, but couldn't get any sort of bolt to match up. I busted out the metric taps I got and the only one that fit was the 11mm. Am I missing something here, is this really 11mm? If so, what would be a source for an M11 bolt?

Problem is that you'll probably not die, just end up a cripple, unable to walk, and having someone wipe your ass for the next 40 years.

I was taken off my motorcycle in 2002. Bike flipped end over end and I cartwheeled. 450 lb bike landed on me at least once. Left knee is F'd up. Still too young for knee surgery, and my Right knee is now worse. Probably need to wait another 10 years before I'm old enough for knee surgery.

Given my luck, I'll use the knees god gave me for as long as I possibly can. I blew apart knee braces that had a life time warranty in a few days. I had my first rebuilt so many times that the shop I got it from refused to see me for repairs any more, and the company I got it from won't give me a refund. The company that now owns them also owns the company that my two stronger braces were made by. Since they still honor the lifetime warranty on those, I don't want to piss them off by taking legal action against them... don't bite the hand that feeds ya.

What year/model is your rig?
I know you were asking Mr 13 posts… but why not. Some things are worth having even if they aren’t stock.

I’ve got three point belts on four of my five seating positions. If nothing else they help passengers stay put. Four wheel disc brakes and an 80 series booster & master help them to work very well.

Mine, being a ‘74, only came with lap belts. But it also came with drum brakes and 120 +/- hp. The current engine was rated at 165 hp in ‘72. The one before was in the ballpark of 300 hp. 350, flat top pistons, cam, dual exhaust… it was a tad on the wild side. I’ve got no complaints about the current one, but it’s much more civilized than the last. It’s compression is about 165 psi… instead of the 195 psi that wasn’t crazy about pump gas.
