I think glass size is a cross over but it has “Nikki“ written on it.

There are few Nikki carbs up for sale on eBay. They are always available, many times I thought of buying one rather then chasing for a SD40 or DD40 carb. Unfortunately not much information available on them in regards to their compatibility with our Cruiser motors.

It doesn’t even have “Nikki” written on it. Maybe @cppilot can confirm if glass is interchangeable or not.

Had to dig this out. I always thought it was the same....wrong!!!
The glass is larger and covers the holes on the clamp down bracket on the card. Hope this helps.

I just received info on this glass and see it's cast glass. Now I understand why it's so expensive to reproduce. I'll check out an original at Mark's Off Road but it looks like I will probably make these out of 1/8" clear flat glass.

@andybudge may be working on something. My suggestion, run a d40 for now as they are easier to find and not too expensive. Then rebuild your sd40 or send it out and then wait for the glass to be produced.

Thx, but I have a SD40 that I am going to have Mark the master @65swb45 rebuilt for me if I can source the glass and bracket that holds it to the carb.
