Model t-1807

Just installed the t-1807. Anyone know where I can get the harness to attach something (ipod) to the aux button input? Also - how can I hook up Sat radio. It says its ready. Any ideas? thanks all!

billc41 sells them on Ebay, kind of pricy but it works well.

Just a follow up. Found the wiring at my local circut city here in NJ. 42 dollars and it plugged right into the back of my T1807. So Im happy to announce that my supposedly NOT ipod capable radio is now fully ipod capable. Very easy install.

Sat Radio is next!

You found an Ipod cable at at circuit city? If so, what is the part number and the manufacturer?

Karl

I'll post the company and part number tomorrow - sorry - dont have it with me.

The wiring harness I bought is made by Axxess. Its called the ipod auxillary input. Model number seems to be mc-8088. Supposedly fits lots of different models. Mine has a 12 prong input that goes right into the back of my scion radio (model T-1807) where the cd changer would supposedly go. All I have to do is hit the CD button twice and the ipod comes up. Genius.

Thanks for the info. When I installed mine I went through the trouble of finding a wrecked 08 scion and relieved it of its harness. I paid $75 for the ipod and aux harness and the plug ports and ipod to plug port cable. I wound up with lots of cable - enough that I could wire back to my centre console. I put the ports inside the console (not quite done yet) so that I can leave my ipod hidden.

The missing picture of the T1805...

Here is a picture of the T1805. Now all that is missing is the T1808. Since I sold this yesterday and had the picture anyway, thought I would upload it.

You can trim the 1807 bezel to fit exactly within the space available to a 2din radio. The power and eject buttons will be truncated slightly - but everything will still work. While a have a late-model Toyota radio in the cruiser - I have the 1807 in my Supra. It had to be trimmed to 2din specs - there was no room for extra on that things dash.

OK, I have to ask... Has anyone successfully installed the ALPINE/Scion head unit?

I have seen these around in other 'yotas... I am a big Alpine fan, and if you find everything can use the headrest screens.

This unit came in the Limited Edition Green xB's and had DVD capabilities.

Here are some pics:

Here it is in a 4Runner...

I tried trimming a pioneer out of an earily FJcruiser and, though it is the same overall width, it was _not_ trimmable at the sides like the pioneers in the scions.

Given that some of the FJcruisers are touting the Alpine, I am thinking they are the same width and from the pics of the alpine, the function buttons on the face appear to be real near the side edges.

So as to fitting the Alpine into the 80 series or other toyotas that require the trimming, my guess would be no.

There is a T1808 a few posts above, but here's a shot of one sitting on a table.

They are the same size as the other Scion Pioneer units and thus can be trimmed and installed in Cruisers.
