Say hello to my little friend! (06 LX build)

I remember watching @DanInDenver raising his LX at HIH at the trail head a few times and was very impressed with how high that system will get you! Best thing for you I think would be drive yours for a long wile before jumping on a huge and expensive job like that right way!
As for the phone-nav part you should be shopping for an aftermarket interface system to hook it up because all there is with the oem system is call function that sucks anyways! It's an old Bluetooth system with no way to update, terrible!

If you don't mind me asking. Who did you use to ship the LX? And how much was it. PM me if you want to keep those numbers secret...;)

I will most likely ship what ever I end up getting, good to get some ideas

I've used Aaron @Summit Auto Transport based in Denver. Very happy with the result.

Shipping in the US is cheap, it's a broker/negotiator''s game.

The guy I bought it from is a dealer with Porche in Wqshington. He got a quote of $1095 with a 5-7 day transit. It ended up being $1250 because apparently when the bid goes in matters on how much it costs to ship. It was the first time he has used Hanover Transport but not the seller's fault. My last truck was $500 cash, but I think that was an under the table sort of thing. YMMV

Thanks a lot! And congrats on the new rig!

Just FYI, Aaron is a Land cruiser guy as well. But you can also use uship and try it yourself. Uship works, but I like stable relationships for this sort of thing. since I live in Texas, I like to ship my LC to the west coast, catch a one way flight, and then drive back various routes, to save myself the time and distance of crossing west Texas.

Is West Texas that bad???

Welcome back to the 100 and remember not to sell this one!

The first time, no. But the next FIVE times you realize that losing an entire day to go west of Texas there are more efficient time options.

In the interest of disclosure, I like places like Midland, Tx and I love New Mexico. But it's 9 hours driving (at least) to go from DFW to ABQ.

It showed up last night! I'm out of town until tomorrow evening....sad face. Can't wait to get home to see my....family? Nah, I want to see my sweet new ride!

I got to drive it tonight! Everybody who says the AHC is nice is totally correct. I'm still going to rip it out, but man that is a plush ride. And I may keep those rims. It looks like the backspacing is pushing the wheels a little further out than stock. That means I can try to cram some 295/75r18's under there! I saw where someone put some Coopers on in that size without any modifications with stock AHC. Gotta go find that thread again to figure out which Coopers.

And I am going thoughly enjoy building it. I'm not going to like having to do a little bit at a time, but doing the research is a lot of fun.

I'm pretty set that I am going to copy @paflytyer suspension setup.

100% going with @benc front and rear bumpers also.

Tires, lift/suspension then bumpers. Maybe drawers and sliders sprinkled in there. My wife is going to hate me when I keep telling her what and how much I am going to do.

Best upgrade you can EVER get!

I still think you should stick with your stock suspension for a little longer and switch the mods order to add the bumpers first(before susp.)! Between tires, bumpers and suspension you can hit $10K VERY VERY FAST! Just gotta figure what's more useful to what you'll be doing with it.

I would agree with suspension last just so you are more aware of the weight on the rig to help with the suspension setup. Just thinking out loud looks like a great ride, enjoy.

I am the fence about keeping the AHC. It will be a little while before I yank it out. But I'm pretty sure it'll be out by next years HIH. Until then I can do the sensor lift. And hopefully do bumpers. Just worried about the weight of the bumpers on the stock suspension.

A quick pic of the stock rims compared the aftermarket ones. The stock rims have brand new Hankook RW-11 i-pike tires on them. Living in Arkansas and the season it is now, I'm wondering how these tires perform in NON winter conditions.
