That is near the end of mineral creek on the way to engineer

Chris and I are staying a few extra days. We're talking about camping and maybe finding someplace to do some panning. That area seemed like a super cool place to do so

As poor as I will be this year I will prob stay up there.. I have all kind of cool spots to camp up there Maybe one day we can bust out with a super small group Ill show you some of my ubber hidden spots. There is a great one right off pourkispie that would be perfect for panning .

That'd be awesome. Chris is bringing the pickup, I'm bringing the 40 again. I'm hoping I can get my camping trailer figured out and done before this year. Not a requirement, but it'd be nice to have

I’m sure @SHELLBACK will let you sleep in his tent with him

I learned how to heard cats this day!
Again, this was my first SAS, and I was nervous about hanging out with a bunch of guys, drinking and talking Cruisers all week! Well, again, I fell in LOVE with this awesome idea of getting the cool Cruisers and their cool drivers together!
If your wife or girlfriend is nervous… send her my way!
More to come from past SAS

Love it! Great pictures!

Ya’ll gotta be there! I’m thinking of a few days in Moab before SAS again. If you’re around we’ll have to hit a trail again.😁
Have you done the rimrocker trail yet? Goes all the way from downtown Moab to Downtown Montrose 160 miles all on NF roads and amazing scenery along the way.

My wife and I did it last year. We made it into an awesome three day trek.

@thatcabledude Watch that bentonite clay out there on the Rimrocker on the portion above the Paradox Valley. "Slippery when wet" is an understatement!

Good morning everyone. August is going to come fast. I've made a few more reservations today so the quantity of sites is getting smaller. If you are a sponsor and don't have a site yet get with me soon.

As of this morning 1.22.2024 I have these available:

1 Tent site available
10 RV sites available
0 Camping Cabins available
0 Deluxe cabins available.

When we went it was super dry, luckily we didn't find out about the "slippery when wet".
We're about 10' away from a 1500' sheer drop off into the Paradox Valley here:

This stuff is like sheet ice when it's clay-on-clay contact. Zero steering - turning the wheel does nothing - very hard to go or stop. We went 200 yards, cleaned the tires with a shovel, 200 yards again, clean the tires again ... for about 3/4 miles. It took a while. At some points we were dead stopped and then would start to slowly slide.

I bet the views were incredible, but I couldn't really look! This was about 72 hours after it rained, or so we were told by folks in the area.

I haven’t, but it’s on my radar!
