Come on Ladies, let’s not stray off course 🤣

Where are you dropping off of the trail to then head to Telluride? The "official" map shows it ending

I've got a pan and a small backpack sluice. Count me in if I can get off of work when you go out.

;)
haha You said official, clearly we have never met ! Id have to look at a Fs rd map. after it officially ends it is a series of fs rds and unnamed rds that dumps you on 145 for a bit then back on some fs rds that dumps you on 62 then last dollar into telluride. I had it on cotrex but got hacked and lost years of exploring. took me 2.5 days to do it last year from just outside grand junction. yes escalante canyon I went in off 50 after spending a few days on the mesa..it was almost 14 days in a tent and truck that why no one saw me at night I was beat

Awesome, I really like the canyon area. There is so much in that area to explore. Do you have any specific areas in the canyon you would say everyone needs to see once? GPS coordinates? I definitely need to spend more time over there.

I lost all my gps stuff with cotrex. There is so much cool stuff in that canyon. We will get together at SAS with a map I can show you some of my favorite spots. There is also some really cool fairly unknown spots just outside Delta we called it pea green. If I have time I will try to rebuild my cotrex from memory ( prob wont even get my name right) then I can share it . the grand junction, delta, montrose area prob has some of the best wheeling anywhere. These pics are from the pea green area one of most beautiful canyons I have seen . Disclaimer to the off trail pics are on private property with permission

SAS3 2019
A few more memories to share

Staging for Mineral Creek then up to Engineer Pass. Time to air down, gather last minute items to be within hands reach while on the trail and bathroom break!

Engineer Pass

SAS3 showed us what an avalanche can do! Lots of snow, tons of flowers and more to learn!

KOA Group Photo!
This year we are bumping the time a little earlier so we don’t run too late with raffle to follow. Plan to have a mellow day on photo/raffle day.
Hopefully we will have a food truck this year to feed us dinner on raffle night! 🤞🏼

Lining up in Ouray after gassing up… it’s best to make sure you are gassed up the night before to make hitting the trail in the morning go quick and smooth.

So, I decided to snowshoe up CR 31, Red Mountain Mining district for those of you familiar. Wanted to see how the road was going to look for August. :p

The snow is a little deep still, about four feet. I did happen to get a cool hat in the mail to wear while I was out though.

Yeah I go to Telluride Bluegrass Festival every June. I try to make a point to take some time and hit the trails to see how they looking while there.

Got snowed on last June during it. That good Summer Solstice snow.
