Hey guys I plan on ordering some 285/70R16 BFG All Terrain T/A KO tires from Sams this week and I was wondering if they would put them on there because on my previous car I wanted to go bigger than the 31" they suggested and they said if I did they would not put them on there. I was just wondering if they will, thanks.

Some places will not put on bigger tires than the vehicles stock size. Sams is one of those and there is nothing you can do about it. If Sams is the best price, take it to Discount and they will match it, and put on bigger tires.

Alright. I dont know if we even have a discount here. But if we do, Ill have to go there. Thank you.

I bought the tires from Sam's Club. Five 285/75/16 ATKO for my '93. They put them on for me with no problem. The size I had before was 265. The 5 tires and mounting cost me aboyt $850. I bought them on sale.

Always try before you give up, usually they'll do it if it's close. If they or any other tire dealer won't put them on your car, they will usually mount the tires on loose wheels, so you can still get it done if you have a way to transport 5 wheels and tires.

Got BFG AT KO 315/75/16's put on @ Sams about a month ago - no problem. Had the same tires from Costco but Costco wouldn't install them again - some new bull**** 3% rule that they won't go 3% above orginal tire size - even talked to the district rep - corporate rule no exceptions for lifts.

OME 850's with Mr Gasket 1" spacer
OME 863's
ARB Bullbar
Kaymar rear bumper
Heavy Sliders

Actually Im thinkin about it now and it was Costco that I bought my old Revos from. Thanks. Ill have to try Sams this time.

Have you thought about Wal-Mart? I was pricing some Michelins a while back, and the price was the same at Wally World.
The guys at another store might do it for you if you just walk in and order the tires you want and downplay/avoid discussing the fact that they will larger than stock.

I dont shop at wal mart. Its a big thing for me to like boycott walmart. I actually had to do a project on jobs in american and outsourcing and their effects along with many other topics and Wal Mart does alot more damage in america than good. Thats as far as Ill go on that topic.

You do realize your vehicle was built outside the country. It was made by foreign workers, imported and you bought it at same point. Just like what Walmart does...

That would make sense if I didnt happen to buy my car used from another american citizen.

So how is it that you will shop at Sam's as in Sam Walton

Guess you need to do some more research for your project.

That would be pretty funny to go back to 31" tires from my 33" ones.

"But really, sir, this vehicle is equiped with an Ausie spec spedometer gear and has to have 33" tyres in order for the spedometer to work right!"

Sams put the 305 MTR's on my 97....no questions asked,....

Neglecting the hilarious position of buying tires from Sam's while boycotting Walmart, pull your wheels from the 80 and take them down there to have the tires installed. That's what I did before at Costco.

this is hilarious. have you not noticed the delivery semis say walmart and sam's club on them?

Capocaccia:

I hope you nor a relative or close friend would ever be in a position to be looking for a job if you suffered from any kind of dissability. I was in Walmart yesterday and saw two employees wheelchair bound and one with and obvious mental retardation condition. All feeling a sense of self worth. Few, if any corporations in the world would be so accomodating. Let's try and keep our political views out of this "tech" forum.

Thanks,

Steve
