Saginaw power steering hoses

I have used the Russell stainless power steering hose and fittings its not as exspensive as you might think and is a smaller outer dia than a stock or hydraulic hose
As for cooling using the cooler in a rad
Trying to use something that has a temperature of
Around 200 deg += as a cooler never has made sense to me
And adding more heat into the radiator by something that potentially runs hotter than that
I dropped ten deg coolant temp climbing long hills
In my tow rig by bypassing the rad cooler and just
Running the large aftermarket trans cooler
Also the trans temp seems to take longer to rise
And cools down faster after the climb
I use the radiator cooler to increase the volume of fluid available in the steering system since I'm running a hydraulic ram. Also, I have yet to see anything over 190 in any of my trucks in regards to radiator temps and know that hydraulic fluid under pressure and movement (particularly in the presence of any air bubbles) can reach extremely high temperatures, making my radiator a decent heat sink for my steering system.

Here are the fittings for the saginaw box and the ones that go to the radiator. I'm using a later power steering pump so have a fitting for it (can't remember the size, but it's o ring) that converts to -6 AN as well. I have all my hydraulic lines made at a local fitting supplier, cost is around $20.

On the using the rad cooler
My cruiser on 44s psc full hydro steering using a
B&m transcooler with a fan on it
On a 100 degree day my steering temps working it hard where between 150 160 deg
And and would drop to 120 just driving on fsr between trails
doesn't make sense to me to run it through something that is hotter
