Hahah!! Here she is nothing special looking yet! Figured you guys seen plenty of em that look like this so never bothered posting a picture. I will post a lot more as the parts start showing up and being installed.

If anyone had questions about any of the parts I’ve ordered and will be using feel free to ask!

It has the leather but it’s all cracked and in bad shape and the seat motors don’t work so I can’t move the seats back n forth.. that’s on the list to figure out a fix. I love the white!

Chuck those seats and install some clothe seats. The factory clothe seats fit me well but I'm not a big dude. WRX seats go in nicely but don't really fit large people to well either. How many miles on the 80?

I’ve got a 94 with manual seats and leather. I think it’s a little out of the ordinary.

I have been looking around for some manual cloth seats and I can’t really find any for a decent price. I may take apart the motors and see what’s up with them. I have bigger priorities than the seats currently.. this truck has to be ready for a 3000 mile trip by the end of April. Headed to the Grand Canyon and four wheeling from there to Vegas

She looks like mine. I recently got the leather kit but haven't had time to do em yet. If you try to keep em reasonably dry they will last a long time. I prefer leather.... just my .02 cents

Do the motors work? The seats are easy to take out. Two bolts front and two back. Be sure to unplug the motor harness and you are free. The plastic end caps are known for stripping and are replaced with an aftermarket piece that I found on this forum. Google search will get you there too. Both of mine had broken inside and the new replacements have been great. I did the replacements about three years ago. Also, could just be crap in the rails that has it in a bind.... coin, screw, sand etc. Where was your pic taken? Looks like Nevada.

That dog has seen some sh!t...

Nice looking truck! Might want consider a spare ECU with the '93 if it hasn't been replaced. Toyota might have a recall service entry for it as I believe there may have been one that went out as they are known to fail. Beyond that, just do all of your baselining tasks and get it dialed in mechanically before you embark and you'll be fine.

Just as an FYI, at the rate you are buying parts, I wouldn't be surprised if your local Toyota parts department would give you a discount, especially if you bring them competitor pricing to show them what you could get it for online. My guys give me 20% off everything and even more on radiators and condensers now and they don't charge me shipping. Pretty much anything available can be at the dealership within a week. That is a very good relationship to develop. My dudes are on a short list of non family members that get holiday gifts and they take great care of me.

They don’t do anything so I will have to check and see what’s up with them!

The picture was taken in Genoa, Nevada

Hmm I will check with Toyota about that!
I am a vendor with Toyota and get a pretty good discount already!

My instagram will probably have more pictures of the FJ80 than this build thread will have. You guys can follow me @ryannunfiltered

Let us know on the service entry. I think there is some confusion about that.

Good to hear you aren't paying full retail on parts. That makes your dollars go a lot further for other parts you will want.

Also had the little air box hose break in two.. well it was taped together and had epoxy or some junk holding it together so I bought this replacement from cxracing (along with their header) should be here tomorrow!!

That's not a '93 in the photo that shows the metal hose. I would like to know if it works right. It doesn't have the holster for the throttle cable either. I could see that being an issue down the road. Might want to pick up a new throttle cable too, if yours is all dry rotted on the outside.

cxracing lists the product as 90-97 fj80, if it needs a little modification for the throttle cable holder no big deal

That's a pretty broad range that includes two completely different motors. At any rate, do not, under any circumstances remove the two screws in the air intake meter where the harness attaches. If you do need to take the wire off, undo the clip that holds it on and carefully, I repeat, carefully pull the wire harness off.

Don't chop anything permanent on the truck to make that fit. If you can modify the hose, so be it, but be prepared to go OEM on that unit if it doesn't work out.

Guess I will be the guinea pig haha!!

SHOTS FIRED! lol

93 and 94 are absolutely the best year of the FZJ80!!!! Congrats!! A442F is light years better than the garbage A343. That transmission should have never made it into the land cruiser. Clean your window tracks thoroughly before buying any parts. It resolved my driver side. Also, you can clean and rebuild the motor/regulator, which there is a thread for as well.
