No longer looking... thanks all

Looking for a complete running truck that is otherwise wasted (read: I don't want to spend a boatload of cash). I want to pull the 2UZ/Tranny/Transfer to swap into my FJ45LV... Mileage should be in the sub-150k range. It should be within easy pick up range to metro NY.
Asking a lot? Yup... but I have time to wait.
Thanks,
Mark

I looked for a while for this combo, and couldn't find the whole thing. Ended up buying everything separate, but still spent way less than $3,500 as advertised in the post above.

Got my engine and transmission from LKQ for $2,100 total. ECU, steering column, immobilizer ECU, emissions junk, gas pedal, wire harness, etc for another $500 or so.

Check with LKQ, they are nationwide, and usually have an excellent selection. Don't be afraid to offer them less than their asking price.

Also, are you looking for the 4 or 5 speed auto? Will make a lot of difference on price (and probably mileage too).

Thanks for thinking of me but that engine looks pretty messed up... is that mud on the top? and I am hoping to find a running truck so that I 1. Can verify condition 2. Can have access to all of the bits I'll need to make this happen.

I'm not overly concerned. When THE DEAL I CAN'T REFUSE comes along it will be what it is... I can wait for it.

There is a running 99 LX470 at Coparts in Abilene, TX. Totaled from a front end smack. Front crossmember didn't touch the radiator but it was within 1/2". Insurance told me the salvage value of it was over $7k. I don't know what will be done with it now but it started right up when I went to clean it out. A/C lines are trashed but everything else was solid. Not too close to NY I know but I can't imagine Coparts will leave it sitting out here too long. HTH

Aren't they going to auction it? There are trucks in this area at Coparts and other facilities up for auction all the time... I'm a little worried about buying that way - I guess I feel like it is a world I'm not familiar with.

Getting a non-driving truck from TX to NY would be cost prohibitive I think. I'd rather put that $ into a better donor that is local-ish.

Thanks for keeping an eye out though.
