And keep in mind they are JIS heads, not US philips. Makes a huge difference in how good you can seat the driver.

I have had good results with Vessel impact driver w/JIS bits. I don't use it a lot, but when I do, it has never failed.
Start with the chemical of your choice, and apply force vigorously.

I had a fight with these recently. I used a Vessel “Impacta” JIS impact screw driver to get most out. But one was so stubborn I was bending the header hitting it so hard, so I left it.

Thanks for all the advice. A combination of the alchemy and an impact driver got 7 of the 8 bolts out. 1 got torn up and will need a screw extractor but good enough!
