Rust Free 1984 FJ60 with extra parts H55F and FF rearend.
<<<<The Truck has SOLD>>>> Still waiting to here if the people in line for the parts are takers. I am looking to sell my 1984 FJ60 Land Cruiser, with 149K miles. I am the third owner of this truck; it was originally purchased in El Paso, TX and then was re-located to Southern Nevada. Where it has spent its whole life. Beings it has spent its whole life in the desert, this is a rust free Cruiser. I have a folder that documents most all of the work that has ever been done to the truck, since it was new. Since I have owned the truck, I have installed a new PS Pump, driver side window regulator and Re-built carburetor from Mark’s Off Road. I also De-smogged the truck, but retained all of the original smog parts. The second owner had installed a new radiator and water pump right before I bought the truck, from them.
The good things:
Rust free and it appear that this truck has never been off road. The underside of the truck still has the dealer installed under coating. The body has no major damage, only small door dings, here and there. The interior is in good condition, one crack in the dash and one tear in the vinyl part of the front of the rear seat. The carpet is in good condition for the age of the truck, could use a cleaning. The headliner is in very good condition. The engine runs great and has very good power and has all new silicon vacuum hoses.
The bad things:
The rear main seal needs replaced, the oil leak has the clutch oil soaked. So the clutch will slip if you hot rod the truck. The paint is original and is getting a little tired, thin spots on the roof and cold cracking on the passenger side front fender and door. The AC needs re-charged and the valves could be adjusted. The front knuckles need to be re-built, just the felt kits. Included in the sale is the full knuckle re-build kit
Extra Parts
H55F Transmission with less than 10K miles, rebuilt transfer case (By Slee Offroad) done at the same time the H55F was mated to it. Also have both front and rear drive shafts, cross member and mount to work with the H55F conversion.
Full Floating Rear axle for FJ60 from Australia. I bought this FF axle from another mudder last year. I have another third member from a FJ62 to match the rear FF gear ratio (4:11). Also included are all the seals and bearings to re-build the FF axle and to re-build the front knuckles.
Rear bumper kit that I bought from another mudder last year. This is a weld your own kit that is all 3/16” thick laser cut steel plate. Similar bumper to the 4+ bumpers sold by Man-fre. An extra carburetor that I picked up some time back.
Asking price is $6500 OBO for the whole lot (Truck, and parts). This was going to be my dream 60, but I ended up picking up an 80 series and the wife has put her foot down and I have to pick one. She can’t drive standard transmission and wants me to keep the 80. My loss can be your gain, this was a year and a half of my searching for the right 60 and parts to build the perfect cruiser.
<<<<SOLD>>> I would be willing to break things up and sell the truck for $3500 OBO, with the smog parts, carb and knuckle kit.
<<<PENDING SALE>>>The H55F, t-case, drive shafts and cross member and mount for $2500 OBO.
<<<PENDING SALE>>>The Full Floater and the re-build parts and extra third member for $1200 OBO.
If you want to talk over thing give me a call at 702-807-9031, I maybe willing to deliver if the right deal comes together.
Thanks,
Clyde
