Heather and I are planning on buying a bigger tow rig and trailer. The car business is slow right now so we have been putting it off. We are looking at a 3 place trailer.
We have talked about it and if we can pull it off we are going to take a couple weeks off and go West. We've never done it and we are both due. IF and I say IF we do this we will have two places available on the trailer.
The logistics involved in transporting a large group of vehicles across the country from point A to B, having someone at point B take delivery, have someone secore the vehicles and contents until the owners arrive, do it all again in the other direction is HUGE!!!!!!
I think that two or three 3 vehicle trailers is all that will be needed. Odds are the driver will have one of the rigs on the trailer. The other owners could fly all the way out to a final destination or if there is room in the tow rigs meet somewhere along the way and see some scenery for a day or two.
I am sure we can find a secure place to leave a few tow rigs and trailers for a week. I believe this method would work out better in the long run. I know for us, we'd be taking 5-7 days to get there. If another trailer wanted to do the same, cool. Taking 6-9 land cruisers cross country to play in the rocks will certainly come with some great memories.

. Looking forward to next year, I hope we can manage to get multiple trucks out to Rubithon. No matter what angle we look at it the trip is gonna be expensive. My thoughts on the matter are to find some way to raise funds on the behalf of this adventure and those who want to participate. Furthermore, would it be feasible to have a trip fund that we can use for club members to get to a single yearly event which may be too far for our members to get to? As a club I think we can come up with something. Even a little impact on the financial hit of each of us is helpful. Any ideas?
