Dude,

I think you should read the event requirements:

Rubithon: the official TLCA event

Alvaro

Funny, but I was thinking the same thing....

"Minimum vehicle requirements include a minimum of 33" tires and either a: single locker or lower tranny/transfer case gearing. All vehicles must also have or carry: Hi Lift Jack easily accessible, front and rear hooks or strap attachment points, a strap (no chains or metal hooks), working fire extinguisher, first aid kit and personal toilet.

Rubithon will be requiring every truck in attendance to have the ability to pack out any and all human waste. This can be purchased from Rocky Trail Outfitters: www.RockyTrail.com"

Alvaro, helpful as always. I am well aware of the TLCA list.

Ben, Thanks for the rolly eyes, looking forward to meeting you.

Gonna be a stellar event.

Hope I do not make any more mistakes.

He can ride with us. Meet us at the Ice House Wednesday night or Thursday morning. Or at the driver meeting Thursday morning. We're in Mark Hawley's group. Big orange 80, big orange FJ Cruiser, some sort of mini truck that Nolen's borrowing and LT's 40.

TJK

Todd, what truck will you be driving? Been meaning to meet you since I missed you by inches at Cruise Moab, what, two years ago? We'll get a photo of you at the wheel of your truck this time!:D:D:D

Yeah...so.....The run is the week of the 18th thru the 22nd....not the last full week of the month, the 25th thru 29th.....

You miss something there Knoll??? You take the wrong days off or what?

All you kitchen helpers -- Send me a PM with your shirt size(s), and confirmation that you can help again this year --

You know who you are ;)

Confirmed! No kids shirt listed but I think that was discussed earlier that it's covered just not listed, same with hoodie I think.

See some of you at the Ice House and the rest on the trail and in camp!!!

Quick question: do cell phones usually get reception on the Rubicon Trail? I have Verizon, if that makes a difference. My wife sleeps better if she gets a daily call in the evening with a report that I am still in one piece. :D

Matt,

There's only one place on the trail that there's cell phone signal. That's halfway the first day. The rest of the trail has no signal.

If you must make the calls, rent a Satellite phone. They run for about $99 a month with 30 mins free.

Regards

Alvaro

Why ya gotta hate...they're both weeks and they're both in June :-) Good think that I've got an in with the branch manager....oh wait....yeah that's me and I've given myself permission for that week instead. And as for the cell phone I've just decided to bring my lovely wife along, no calls needed and don't need to make up a story about the damage...she'll be there to see it hapen :-)

Verizon gets the best reception. Only at Walker Hill. Beyond that, there is none.

Ditto the Sat Phone. A few people will have them there.
