Assuming the rates are still where I was told they would be, it should ship a week or so before the event. Someone will need to "receive" it (possibly two trucks) and tell me everything is okay so I can pay the shipper the balance. I need to pick it up in/near Reno, NV on the 17th (Tuesday) and will drive it into Tahoe. What I don't know, is the exact date of shipping arrival, all I know is when I told them the drop dead date is for it to be there. It/they will come in on a 18 wheeler, so wherever it drops, it needs to be accessible....no tight little neighborhood streets.
Shipping out will be the same deal. I need to leave it somewhere, maybe a week, for them to pick it up to bring it back. Someone will need to be available to sign/etc. that it's on the truck and intact.
If the rates go way up, I pull the plug and just fly out to help with the event. It would be nice to have my truck, but not required to have a good time!
Any ideas are fair game for consideration....cruiser shops, trustworthy club members, shipping company's hub, RV storage lot, etc.
Please PM me ideas or questions, no reason to junk up the thread too much with my issue.

Why wont the shipping company hold the car? We shipped from CA to NY and the shippers held the car for 5 days until it was picked up (although this was pre 9-11). Best of luck
