I try to keep an eye on them but not everyday like I used to when I didn't have one!

Same foot print as the 60 I think, just taller.

Does anyone have a picture of an 80 quart in a 100 series, on a slide? Curious if you can get the door open and get it to stay open. I still love our 63 quart, but it fills up fast with 4 people.

63 quart---Outside Dimensions: 20.7"h x 28.1"w x 17.9"d

80 quart---Outside Dimensions: 23 6/16" H x 28 3/16" W x 18 12/16"D

Looks like slightly bigger footprint and less than 3" taller, 9 lbs heavier.

Ah I didn't think it was that much bigger of a foot print, thanks for the info. The 80qt still hasn't found a home yet, kind of surprised but I guess the season for using it is coming to an end.

It would make a great second fridge for aging meat or could put it on a slider under the workbench in the garage.... For cold beverages.

Anyone have a problem with smells in their fridge? I had a bag of frozen shrimp that thawed before I could eat it. Wiped up all the fluid and thought it was good. After I turned fridge off, smells terrible. I hosed it out with the drains open and sprayed the walls down with vinegar and plugged it back in for now. Any other suggestions? I don't want to put the fridge in and out if the car because of the smell.

So you got raw seafood around inside the fridge and tried to clean with just vinegar?

Try again with bleach.

I also try and leave the lid propped open a bit when not in use. This way it airs out keeps it funk free...

I do the same, I coil up the AC cord and stick it under the door when it's not plugged in. Keeps the cord from wandering away too.

I wiped down the inside with bleach, smelled like bleach in the garage for a couple days, but seemed to take care of the shrimp smell. I've taken over fridge packing & organization duties for trips ;)

That reminds me, because of the same issue of spillage from my last wheeling trip, I have been thinking of some kind of liner or tub that would fit in the baskets. That way after a trip you could toss or clean the inserts without mucking up the fridge.

You could try double bagging with some small trash can liners.

I have a nice set of containers with locking lids that are also stackable that have been working well. Also going stuff a few one gallon bags in there incase there's a chance of meat or seafood spillage.

Anyone end up finding a replacement direct bolt on hinge (not drill yourself) besides the Edgestar. They want $40 for a pair of stainless hinges now.

I haven't seen any other hinges specific to edge star. You could get a blank metal hinge, cut it down, and drill some holes (in the hinge, not the fridge) and prob would be cheap fix.

Persistence paid off just now. The 63Q came online and I snagged it. I had been checking at least once everyday for who knows how long. I really didn't need to spend that money but who knows when another would have been available.

Just grabbed the last 43Q
