Rocking after a stop

A little bit more info. Found a place with no traffic and a couple of speed bumps set not to far apart. I can't get any sense of the rocking motion from going over the speed bumps.

Although I know little about suspensions I am beginning to think this might be something like a bushing in the rear that locates the truck on the rear axle, and when I stop the worn bushing is allowing the vehicle to slosh or rock fore and aft.

Give anybody an idea of something for me to check?

Having the same problem, taking it to ACC Monday to have them take a look. Will let you know prognosis. Mine will rock back and forth when stopping. Will also rock side to side if I am stopped and traffic is passing on either side.

I would bet that it is related to the front shocks and bushings. I have symptoms you describe but also experience a popping sound when tires come off of a bump. Not when the tire moves up, but only when it moves down. New, OE axels from CVJ did not fix rocking or popping (were needed anyway). My guess is shocks but I will let you know what the guru's at ACC say.

I'm going to guess that your popping is probably sway mounts

I have this same problem. Did you get it fixed? I found this post about rear upper control arms fixing the rocking:

I replaced mine with OEM, the first day I thought it was fixed but eventually noticed it again, maybe a little better. My rig only has 116k so maybe my original one's were still okay.

Thanks for the update. I’m still trying to track this issue down. I would suspect the accumulators but they seem to work well and are in spec.

Any update on this? I am having pretty much the exact same issue. My AHC is in spec and most of the front as well as rear bushings have just been replaced. Mine is at 93k (KM) and is a 2004.
