I'm still waiting to hear the exact gear ratio, he emailed me earlier yesterday and said he is still waiting for his parts supplier to get back to him on the exact ratio.

I am sad to say that I am going to have to put this on the backburner for the time being as my supplier has just informed me that he is 3 months away from having stock.
I sort of get the feeling that this wont be too much of a drama anyway, as a lot of you are not quite ready to buy yet.
I shall keep you all informed as more info becomes available.

Correct indeed. But, I drive my junk really slowly anyway on the highway.

I want the low end without compromizing weaker diff gears.

The rock hopper kit seems to manage that.

X2 That makes two of us and one angry . Unless I am passing a semi or in a hurry then I take advantage of the boost.

My mods budget is toast for the next 8-9 months or more. Interested, but can't.

I'm in this group too. The S/C has killed my budget for quite sometime. Maybe these will be available by the time I have some more flow.

lt1fire, here's hoping all the 'math' I did in another thread got more on board for your group buy, and the above makes me think the price the guy gave you is killer. Make sure you protect yourself from owning more than 1 gearset yourself as you proceed, btdt too many times.

Looks like Rick at BB responded in the post above on 9-22 that he would have stock in 3 months. Sounds like a convenient stocking stuffer to me. If you are still interested in doing that GP, this looks like a very opportune time. I'd give Christo a shot at the opportunity too, it would appear many crawlers here owe him the business and goodwill.

You don't have to regear the diffs for offroad, but it does nothing for those of us on oversize tires on the freeway. If you can replace the high-range gears as well, might be worth looking into as an option instead of regearing axles.

Any word on this? Advance Adapter just quoted me... $1700 for Mark's 80 series gears. WTF? Mark's Gears list them retail for $1295 USD ($858 USD). That's over 200% markup... over _retail_. _Plus_ shipping. I'm all for businesses making money, but that is recokulous.

OK, Rick, it's been over three months, where is your supplier at in terms of a date available?
The only way this will work is to set a date by which a minimum of 10 people will pay up. On that date, if stock is ready, we order, if stock is not ready or we don't have 10 people, then we don't order. but this thread has been going for too many months with no action.
