Hi, I'm new to the Off-road world and wonder what are some of the best rim brand I can look into? I saw fifteen52 and nomad got some cool rims. If you like your current upgrade, could you share how you think about it and how they look?

Maintenance before mods.

The smart money is on 17's, they have the largest tire selection by far.
Make sure the wheels you're looking at fit a 100 series specifically as not all 5x150 wheels do.
Don't go crazy on the offset, it's easier to fit bigger tires with less offset. Stock is +60, IMO there's no need to go past +25.

Icon Rebounds have served me well, they do need spacers or modified front caps to clear the hubs.

I agree fifteen52 wheels are great looking and would buy them if they made one to fit, but they do not.
I have not found any others I like better than OE so OE it is.

Any specific characteristics you are looking for on a wheel set? 5x150 bolt pattern isn’t as broad as 6x139 but there is still a lot of options to choose from.

I really like the factory 16's, but don't like that the ones I have are chrome plated and the chrome is flaking in places on almost every single rim. Personally, I think Method are about the only aftermarket I've seen (on other people's rigs) that I'd consider as a replacement (at least at what I consider a reasonable cost).

hard to beat the factory 18s that were offered on the later model 100's
Great looking, cheap and easy to find, and can be painted any color you want

Wheels are almost the last thing I care about but if I changed stock it’d be for some Toyota 17” Steelies. Never understood nice expensive wheels on 4x4s/Trucks, doesn’t that defeat the whole purpose?

Are there 17” Toyota steelies that fit the 100 series? I’m only aware of the Tundra 18” steelies. Rock warriors are what I’m looking at for the future.

I thought I saw someone import them before, could be wrong. I know I like these 18 tundra take offs.

Edit: I thought Dilspecs “faux 105” had 17” steel wheels. I remember the barn doors and clear glass all the way around.

That's what I run also. I call them the U.N. wheels. I paid $50 for five of them, in bad shape, cleaned them up, painted them with Rustoleum Aluminum, $18 a quart, used about 4 oz of paint, turned out beautifully, look just like yours, and they're holding up well. More recently I painted a set of Mercedes wheels with the paint, using another 4 oz. So I've got about $11 a wheel in mine, purchase price plus restoration.

It's pretty hard to beat the OEM wheels. My stock size was the 18s (03+ cruiser) so I bought the 17" FN wheels five stars for a few reasons. They have a nice offset 30mm which gets a slightly wider stance without using spacers, they're lighter than OEM (22 LBS vs 28) and the 17" rim affords more sidewall on the tires and more sizing options.

Stock rims and Michelin ltx adds up to 65 lbs per corner. (28# + 37#)

Fn wheels and 285/70R17 gets you around 72 lbs per corner (22# + 50# duratrac 33")

Honestly I'd probably stay stock if I did it again. The michelin ltx performs very well in most conditions. Just another opinion.

Factory wheels. Aftermarket wheels are for suckers. Prove me wrong
All about those views!

What purpose would it defeat? If you're going aftermarket and want anything close to factory strength, you need to spend some $$. Furthermore, getting the right offset and wheel diameter often means OEM isn't quite right.

My Braid's above have a far more aggressive bead than OEM so they improve off-road reliability. Air waaaaay down and enjoy!

Just because they're nice doesn't mean you have to baby it. Beat 'em up!

Did your AHC fail in that pic?
