Reassembling my 1990 PZJ77 after a fresh respray and losing my mind trying to get the exterior handles back into the rear doors. The latch on the back of it doesn't seem to want to fit around the latch mechanism within the actual door. No amount of pushing down the inside latch or pulling up the actual handle seems to want to accommodate it. Is there a trick to this? I'm sure I am doing something stupid, but any advice would be hugely appreciated as it's the only reassembly thing that's tripped me up thus far.
