Rick's half doors

These half doors are for the blue '79 in my hinge post. It was part of the agreement for me to use his truck for hinge prototyping. Obviously I'm not done yet, but I hope I'm doing okay for a first time welding body metal.

Any ideas of what to use to rebuild the lower door edge? Any common body steel contours that would be at any old yard? I plan on replacing the yellow rectangle with new sheetmetal. The other door is probably as bad. I'd like to retain all of the factory style contours and bevels.

So far, all of the grafted in contours have been sourced from cut out areas of this door.

It would, I doubt those pieces work with a shoestring budget...
