Does anyone have advice on fitting the 2013-2015 headlights into the older LC200's? I'm running CREE LED bulbs but the housings are beginning to show their age. I've search for relevant posts but come up short. Thank you in advance.

Saw this thread. Sounds expensive and a bit complicated. I’d probably rather put that money into a front bumper with rigid lighting

I wonder if the eBay facelift headlights are easier?

These are the ones I was considering, anyone use them???

Adding no name from China electronics to a vehicle this reliable would make me nervous. It’s still a lot of money to add potential headaches to you electric system. I saw a thread somewhere once somebody had a lot of negative things to say about EBay aftermarket headlights he bought. Can’t find the post now

I do remember that, the low beam wobbled if I remember right.

I did it. I used OEM ballasts and bulbs. No concerns there. Low beams do wobble and it took a few rounds of silicone to make sure they were sealed up and didn't fog. You get what you pay for in this. OEM is best but the ebay ones are doable with a little effort. Install isn't difficult.

The ebay headlights come with connectors for the 2013 so they will not be plug and play either. Might as well fork out the extra cash for the genuine headlights. Make sure to get the Euro spec ones which have bixenon projectors and DRL LEDs. I posted the part numbers in the thread linked above

Totally agree. If I had to do it again, Id just fork out the extra money for the OEM ones. Its not like the eBay ones are cheap, they're still going to cost you ~$500 bucks or so.

List for OE is about $850 per side though.. Deals can be had but you'll still spend twice as much as the ebay junk.

@ranma21 any update on the headlights you and i have spoken about?

Not yet, I have one side of the 2013 HID DEPO lamp, but not the other sides. Ordered the wrong one in my previous shipment, ordered the 2016 on the other sides instead. :bang:Will make sure I order the correct side this time for upcoming shipment.

Im thinking about doing this upgrade from a 10 to a 19. does anyone know if the traction control light went on as a result of headlight conversion. the lights are supposed to be linked to steering in some way..pardon me for any newbie mistake in my post. still learning and making mistakes.

Not sure how you went from 10 to 19 without a fender, grille, hood, etc.... swap. Assuming you did do just that, i don't see how it can affect your traction control. The LC200 lights do not steer with the wheel as some newer vehicles do. There is a height adjustment in 13+ vehicles but not as part of the TCS. More info would be helpful.

K so it all started with a big hill and a stubborn tree. I am looking to do a full facelift as a result i know the frame member across the front will match. Gonna have to change some mount brackets to accommodate headlights fenders and all that stuff. In thinking out the project i am concerned about the lights plugging in and working with the system. Im actually going from 2010 Lexus which has headlights that move. My friend/ mechanic says it may not work well and set off traction lights on dash. im just trying to make sure i don't bastardize my 30k rig and wind up with a dash like a christmas tree.

I will say this much. I used to have a 2009 LX. In 2013, there was a dealership in Texas that was selling "facelift" kits to make the 2009 look like a 2013. Well, I bought the whole thing and had it shipped to SC. The body shop went to install it and it didn't even come close to fitting. We had to ship it back. I wouldn't put much faith in doing it with an LC either.

I am skipping the kits, heard similar nightmares. sticking to toyota parts to do it right. was hoping to get a real bumper on it as trees aren't the only enemies of plastic bumpers.
