Another update for anyone who is adding cruise control to a late year 1HDT. I reviewed the wiring per my comment above and realized there are more than 2 pins that need to be changed to adapt the cruise control computer I had from a 1994 1FZFE. I kept looking at wiring and quickly figured out that the 1997 Land Cruiser and LX450 had a different computer compared to previous years. The wiring for this late computer was exactly how my harnesses were wired. I found a module for sale and purchased. No wiring modification required - just plugged it in and everything is now working. I did have to undo the few pins I changed in order to try and make the earlier module work.

08/1996 to 01/1998 - 88240-60170 -> this is the one I purchased and it worked as expected. Bolts in same way as other modules; onto the brake pedal.

11/1995 to 08/1996 - 88240-60060 -> not compatible with my late year 80 series.

Cruise control is active and my foot is off the pedal.

This is how it mounts.

Hi guys, I’m wondering if anyone can help me out. I’ve purchased everything needed for factory cruise control to go into my 92 hdj80 manual that came out of a 91-8/92 1hdt Sahara, I’m in Australia, problem is that the car has every plug for the cruise control besides the wiring or connector for the cable drive speedo sensor on the transfer case, my wiring loom doesn’t have it and the signal wire from the ecu (pin 20) from what I can find doesn’t meet at the gearbox wiring harness connector. Has anyone else had this issue? I’ve brought a new Hall effect sensor from New England instrument co the c6001 everyone uses, but I don’t have anywhere to connect it?

Also not sure which wires on the Hall effect sensor go where as I don’t have anywhere to connect wiring on the gearbox loom. Without the Hall effect sensor connected the cruise light comes on when turning the stalk on so it all seems to work besides not having the plug on the gearbox. Being a manual do I need to bridge any wires to trick the CC ecu to think everything is ok? All my CC components were out of the same car and seem to match. Just unsure what to do with the Hall effect sensor, I’ve also got led tail lights which I assume will need a resistor to make the cruise work?
Thanks
