I started having some issues starting my truck a few weeks ago. Seemed to get harder to start each day. A single click, and nothing. Battery tested fine. After a few tries, it would eventually turn over. I was able to order an OEM starter from Toyota for about $148 plus core charge. Easy plug and play. Top bolt (17mm) accessed from above. Bottom bolt (17mm) accessed from below, along with a connector and the ground wire. The smaller nut on the starter is a 13mm. Took about 15 minutes. Not bad.

Darn mine does the exact same thing. Hope I don’t need a starter.

No you don't , just make sure you park on a downhill slope and pop it in 2nd gear or bring a hammer. On my 93 Toy extra cab I manage to use up the starter till it would no longer click.
