My rad is leaking so I’ll be replacing it soon, but wondering what other “while in there” stuff should be done? Tstat and hoses is what comes to mind, anything else?

Tstat, tstat gasket, radiator cap, upper and lower radiator hoses, heater hoses and heater Ts, oil cooler hoses, fan clutch, fan bracket if it’s never been replaced, radiator transmission cooler hoses if they’re in bad shape.

IF you see cracks in the fan blades, replace the blade $56 AISIN at Rockauto. Non oem fan bracket, Idler or tensioner? get those replaced and make it reliable.

I went with these Aasin parts from Rock Auto:

I don't remember how much I paid, but it's $50 for the fan and $86 for the fan clutch right now, without shipping. As you can see, they did ship from the same warehouse which helps with RA shipping costs.

ETA: I did find the price, and I paid $47 and $72 in August of 2020.

^^^ I've seen 6 or more fan brackets fail in the past six months. Present company included.

Even though timing belts and water pump had been replaced by the previous owner, my fan bracket must have been the original. It failed along with a group of failures last December. The bearing would no longer rotate smoothly. While it didn't sieze, it had a ratchety feel when turning it.

Thank you very much! Strange enough these part are not listed as compatible with 06 LC100. I will do my research to see if any changes between 99 and 06 LC with the fan clutch part.

Update: The fan blade actually is compatible. thanks again.
