Hi everyone, sorry if this is a dumb question, I'm new to vehicle ownership so I don't really have a frame of reference here.

I got my windshield replaced yesterday, and there's a gap between the rubber that connects to the body panels and the windshield itself:

The actual windshield appears to be secured properly, but I just want to make sure there isn't anything glaringly wrong here.

I don't remember the gap being this noticeable on the old windshield, and the people doing the replacement mentioned that the previous one was held down by many layers of glue that pushed the old windshield closer to the rubber.

How big are these gaps on other 100s?

It is normal to have a gap there. In the gap is a piece of thin black stripping covering rivets or they may have left the strip off. If you don't hear wind noise...you should be good.
