Hey Guys,

So the 200 has probably one of the worst locations for the trailer wiring harness, I'm looking for a replacement because I bashed mine pretty good while out wheeling and it doesn't look like it can be repaired.

I contacted Toyota and they said that there is no part number for a 2013 200 series trailer wiring harness and was hoping you guys could point me in the right direction in securing a replacement.

My vehicle came with the factory towing kit and the harness was separately packaged inside the vehicle which the service department installed for me. An OEM or aftermarket replacement would be fine.

Thanks.

Sorry to clarify it was the 7 Pin connector that got smashed, so I'm looking to replace that portion of the harness, but I'm assuming I'll have to purchase a whole new unit.

Anyone come up with a part number?

My 2010 didn't come with a trailer light connector or bracket and the dealer cant find a part number?

Im thinking of stealing the one from my 2005. Think that will work?

Anyone know where the trailer light connector plugs in? I'm hoping it's plug and play.

I'm pretty sure you can just buy any 7pin connector and wire it up unless thr wires got pulled out or are damaged. I might get some heat gor this but I just had a 7pin connector installed and had them splice the wires and fuse them. I would've went oem but Toyota here doesn't offer the parts and won't install tgem even if you supplied it. This seemed the easiest route and time will tell if it works well or not. Sorry for the rambling

If you have just ripped off the end section of the cables, I'd check to make sure that they are all still passing power, ie, test with a test light. If all is ok, cut back to a good location and then just purchase a new round 7 pin plug with some aftermarket 7 core cable and splice back in - no need to remove the whole standard harness. Besides I put my trailer harness in myself and this vehicle has a separate controller for the trailer plug, its quite a big job to replace, interior panels have to be removed etc.

Cheers
