My TYC radiator has a bend on the side, the tube looks fine but the fins are crushed on the edge. The back looks good, I got it on Amazon prime so I could return it hassle free. But I'm also running the stock 21 year old radiator on my 97 and I feel like it's a ticking time bomb, I'm not overheating. Thoughts?

I've seen a few like that. It doesn't affect the performance of the radiator. In fact, the one I purchased at a discount from Amazon and installed was probably returned because someone else didn't like that same bend. It seems to be a common issue with the cores, not caused by shipping. If you've got the time to wait and the inclination, send it back. If not, it won't cause any problems.

I’d send it back. If caused by shipping or transfer then by what? Can’t imagine that gets through QC.

EXCHANGE it for one that has less den's

if u don't It Will leak

Murphy's Law.............

I would send it back. I would have issue putting a gnarled up new radiator in my rig that looked worse than the 2 decade old one I was taking out........that might just be my OCD.....but I think not.

Amazon, send it back, they need to learn how to pack them. Know of several running like that, but were bought as returns, for a deal, you didn't?

Bends and dents in radiators are just cracks waiting to happen. I would send it back.

I didn't get a deal, paid full price. Thanks everyone for your input, it's going back. I was hoping to install this weekend but I think mine will make it long enough to get a replacement.

I would return it since it was purchased on amazon and they will accept the return no problem. I debated on getting this rad after my stock one had a small leak, but instead I bought the CSF aluminum one and I couldn't be happier with it. I changed the water pump, fan clutch w/ 20000 CST fluid, thermostat, and all belts at the same time.

I sent this radiator back with UPS yesterday, Amazon said the driver would have a return label. When he showed up he said he forgot the label but it would be able to be tracked in 6 hours. Well guess what showed back up at my house today? Yep the bent radiator, I called Amazon and they said to keep it. Anyone need a slightly bent radiator?

You didn’t get the option to print the return label? I’ve sent things back before to amazon and they’ve refunded me the money before I even sent it back. As soon as I printed the label I’ve gotten refunded. Are you in contact with amazon or with the seller on amazon? If it’s the latter I would try to get a hold of amazon as opposed to the seller. GL

No option to print the label myself, said to hand the package to the driver and they would have a return label. Contacted UPS and they said Amazon would have to resolve the problem. I called Amazon directly and they said to keep it or destroy it, my order status now shows I was instructed to do so.
