sad thing about this thread that has been alive since 12/05 is that no one has made a set of floorboards; not one although many of us have been willing to buy ........does anyone out there know any metal fabbing people that have a heavy duty bead rolling machine?? this is not rocket science; just have to have heavy duty tools~!! my 0.02Lou
No floor patches no price...can't have one with out the other. But if you want some kind of perspective...the fender patch set runs in the proximity of $200.00. After that you would have to guess on size of patches and complexity so, for example a simple flat sheet is not worth much. A identical patch to the orig. floor with upward bends and curvature of hump tie ins....Way more. Whats the metal, the gauge etc..

Is there a point of shipping for FedEx in Rawalpindi or is it the same situation shipping out to the USA as shipping in (ie-does it require departure from Lahore)?
Hey guys... is this thing happening or not? I have a fab shop in San Diego. I just got a fj55 a couple days ago and guess what, bad floors! If what you want is Patch Panels With Bead rolls in them that look alot like the originals Id be more than happy to help out? I cant believe that it is that big of deal to get a after market re pop or something close enough? I build floors all the time for classic cars like Zephyrs, all the 30's and 40's domestic vehicles. I dont want to step on anybodys toes here but......I use 18 ga. for my floors and it is the same as most mfg.'s floors. I dont typically use galv. sheet metal because it dosnt weld well at all. Plus everything I install either gets undercoated on the underside and painted on the inside. Check out my signiture and contact me if I can help you.

just got off the phone with Lance at IPOR and he told me that he would be very willing to set up for making floor pan patch panels with beads rolled into them.............not entire floor pans BUT just the areas where the beads are; my thoughts are just take the patches he can make for us and the flat plate can be managed .........please share your thoughts on this one

guess we just have to get with Lance and like we did with the sliders he made a while back; pony up some cash or at least show willingness to purchase......... then he can give us a price for front sheet metal floorboard patches.....IMO the stumbling block has been when we have asked people to try to make the entire floor pan and with the variations 'tween different years makes it a much more complex and pricey task..if we have only the flats made with the beads that would simplify things for Lance and heck we can add the flat plate where it is needed.......just my 0.02

Lance has to make a living and IPOR does a great job at making things for our pigs; after talking at length today .........if he feels he can turn a profit, even a modest one...... he will go ahead and fab them..............where you lose the ability to make that profit is when there are too many demands on time/labor; 
think we erred on requesting too many variations early on in this thread when we approached others..........if we can present him with a "simple" generic type of floor pan patch request I think that he will come through for us....please share your thoughts on this HTHLou

I don't think I ever noticed how much arch there is in the floor right in front of the back seat until now -- there are curves running across the beads. Is this typical, or did something bad happen to my floor?

This is what I need. Maybe just back to the start of the seat bracket and over to where is starts getting difficult on the tranny. From what I have seen this is the biggest issue in pigs as well as the body mount under them.
Marshall X 2 on the rust prone areas.....Lance mentioned also about fabbing the frame to body support when making the patches and this would be ideal.......IMO the curve on later models could be probably solved by welding flat sheet......as needed! ....give him a call or better yet, drop IPOR an email to show interest....as any good businessman he will respond to demand/volume just my 0.02

Only problem I am seeing with this is the bend upward and where the body mount is. I have nearly perfect floors on my 75 and the paint still even looks new for the most part. BUT- that body mount traps mud and debries so, right at the juncture of the mount bolt and the bend upward rots out.
might be time for him to see that there is quite a bit of interest in the group for replacing/patching rusted out floor pans
