Ehsan, Thats a great deal. If anyone does that and before me I will be happy with buying some and good to go.

Should no one else step up beforehand, my questions are: 1) per the photos above...do they look adequate to work with (I would think so?)? and (2) where should they be cut...particularly as I will have to cut with a sawzel or budget air tool.

Eric

As well, for anyone reading this: If you are ready to go with sending parts already then email me as I can likely cut the shipping costs some substantially.

Yes they seem adequate enough. Just dont cut through the ribs. Also. If you can make a pattern (1 inch wide piece of metal sheet) of the angle the floor takes, that would be good.

Sold my 40 and will be getting another 55 this summer so put me on the list as well if they get made.

Ehsan, Eric count me in for a set maybe two...these are a hell of a lot better than mine..........no holes!!! yippiii:clap: for floorboards:bounce::bounce2:!,

Lou

assuming this will include all the underfloor supports and ribs??

Guess that depends on cutting advice (i am very not expert), shipping weight, and Eshans interests. I have emailed him PM on a couple of things. One of which is I am sick on the early stage of pneumonia (sp?) so, I am not in a rush to go out in our seasonal dust storms here...though I have to go to work in it tomorrow. So, I am guessing at least a week or two before I have done my part.

Or in other words: feel free to chime in on cutting.

Here is a picture of my floorboads on the transplant piggies; these are the better ones:frown: my 0.02 is to go with Eric's floorboards!

exploring other venues..........got this reply from the folks that did the lovely 78 fj55 restore in Wichita KS
from: CharlesCarver@prideautoplaza.com

Lou,
I appreciate you comment and interest. At the present time I am
overcommitted on projects but might consider making some additional
floorboards when (if) I get caught up.
Thanks,
Charles Carver

Good thing this isn't some kind of corporate deadline: I'm not a body man (or many other things) but here we are so far finally.

Ok, I am trying to help here, but I could use some help. Even assuming just a base plate repair patch with the first inch or so of upward bend to the firewall there is some significant change in the older and newer floors w.r.t. the early column type 55 and the 4speed.

I do not really have the tools and access to provide information that would allow Ehsan to make boards that would be somewhat universal. So, if anyone can provide some distance, slope / contour measures that border the region of later model fJ55 Tran. hump on passenger and driver side that would be great.
Pls post here if so.

I can tell you that even a straight cut on the later model on the passenger side will cut off a portion of the last rib. I am thinking in comparison (though I no longer have the plates here) that it would be useful to have the measure of the lower slope on the psgr side to tie into best.

As for the driver side that maybe true as well...the length and slope at the hump.

Eric, glad to help in anyway...........I have side by side a very rusty 79 and a 69 originally a column shift with shot drivers floorboards.......please tell me exactly what you need for me to get?.

Lou, on the 7/70 the tranny had been pulled and it sat in a salvage a long time. I do not know whether or not there was some bending going on but there was an almost a flat run to the trans hump on the pass. side.

I am photographing and making some measures of my 75, but I have no real way of generating the angle of rise on the passenger side and perhaps, if your seats are out of the 79 you can take a tape and photo illustrate some of the relative distances of both sides (particularly if on the drivers side you do not have the stupid tar barrier stuff).

My daughters plastic school protracter just won't work...nor will any of my woodworking stuff. :frown:

I am really short on time right now (imagine you are as well).

I'll email you with some photo's where I have been playing with it.

Thanks, Eric

anyone out there that can take an overview shot looking down on the drivers side and passenger side floorboards with a the floor and edge of hump in the photo of a 79 fj55 and maybe a door across to shot?
