Give us some deets..... What did you use to seal the roof penetration where the power comes through? Explain the tilt mount. battery and charge control set up?

Now we just need someone to fab up a custom solar panel to replace the sunroof glass i.e.: bolted in to the sunroof assembly (and still retain the ability to open the sunroof)?

Or, could it be placed under the glass (and absorb enough light to generate power) and still have the ability to close the sunroof door??

It would be cool to have it replace the glass. It would be a challenge to figure out the power connection with the moving parts n all. Under the glass would destroy the output of the panel.

How did you all bring the power into the rig? or did you just run the power to a controller in the engine bay?

I went with a 100 flexi panel just zip tied temporarily to my roof rack, till my cascade designs hood panel arrives…I used a Victron MPPT controller and tied it into my second battery…according to the app that shows charging history I can see up to 100 watts from the panel, and it keeps the battery happy whilst constantly running my Engel fridge

The sunroof mounting is a great idea especially if sunroof still functional. I was thinking of trying to rig a pair of flex panels to my spare tire cover just to keep the acc battery topped off. No roof rack until I get a new garage as I barely scrape in now.
