I have just discovered that the load sensing proportoning valve on my BJ74 is leaking. What have others done with these? I have heard that it can simply be deleted without issue. To remove it it looks as simple as removing the lspv, conecting the rear brake line directly to the line and plugging the second line that T's off the front brake line.
Will I have any issues doing this.
Thanks for any input.

i ran a new line from the front eliminating the unit...

i am sure there is a better idea out there though.

I'd put one back in, it is there for a reason and works very well. You might be able to rebuild it - check the parts manual. If not maybe put a wanted advert in the wanted section.

Wayne, have you noticed any negative effects from removing yours?

I've removed mine on the 80 series and quite like the 50/50 brake setting.

You can also install a manual proportioning valve. I have one set up for 10mm metric fittings but have not installed one yet.

nope, unless you are running empty and extremely heavy it does squat.

i have found that the braking is actually better with it out.
