So my spare tire is frozen on. Can I unbolt the spare tire mount from the Land Cruiser without removing the tire?

Thank you @LandCruiserPhil I will look into taking it off this weekend while I am at the shop and have the use of the forklift to support the weight of the tire.
Do we have a new tire carrier/bumper, do tell?
Yes you can unbolt the whole cross member. Did you try soaking it with PB blaster firstSo my spare tire is frozen on. Can I unbolt the spare tire mount from the Land Cruiser without removing the tire?

Now my question becomes can I remove the spare tire cross member or is it structural?
I plan to have the spare tire either swing arm mounted or roof mounted if that's even legal lol

yes you can take that out, most of us have.
Question for you Steve, do you know if one of these chain winches can replace the later cable style Toyota switched too? Even non rusted don't feel as comfortable with cable verses the chain.
idont know but I may know where a chain hoist is so we could compare it to the cable. Assuming the mounting holes are close I don’t see why it wouldn’t be compatible
