No side molding and no running boards with factory mud flaps.

Those might have a different name in Tejas, but up here we call those side moldings. :grinpimp:

Sorry, you are right Fitzgerald, I was thinking of the factory fender flare moldings that I have seen on several 2004 Land Cruisers when I posted. Mine didn't come with any, maybe that was an option?

My bad.

Me, Spresso, Shaggy and a few others have done bedliner from top of molding down to bottom of rockers.

Any issues with fading from UV exposure?... not too concerned about it, but know it can be an issue. Thanks.

No not really. I applied some Rhino Shine to it back in 2010 but havent touched it since. Originally sprayed on in 2008.

Hey 1loudLX, did y'all remove the molding or did you just spray right over it?

I have a lot of paint chips on my rockers from diving down caliche rock ranch roads here in Texas. Since my rig is already black and I want to paint my molding black anyway the rhino liner might be what I will do?

Did you do it in the garage or have it professionally done?

I once a video where a guy removed mouldings and clips, put tape over the holes and sprayed a thick coat of bed liner and it covered over the holes. The tape stayed but the thick bed liner held itself together

Yes, moldings removed prior to re-paint, with holes welded close. One of my favorite mods, been thinking about doing the same thing to my other 100...MUCH cleaner look.

Has anyone seen a thread with a how to on removing the trim with the hopes of replacing it ?

I see some knock off china trim available on ebay. It may be junk but I might give it a go since my current moulding is an eye sore . The kit comes with sticky edges and some sort of clip setup so it seems like it should work.

Thread dredge in 3... 2...
Hey @Mike NXP did you ever experiment with the non-OE side molding? Mine are looking pretty bad - I either need to replace or refurb.
