FIFYI honestly would not be living like that.![]()
If you're on the young side we could really use an injection of youth in SE Alaska. Climate is sorta like Portland fall/winter all year. Portland has more warm and dry in one year than Juneau does in 10.I'm not going to defend or denounce Portland - but I will say it's become a very frustrating place (that still has great food, some old friends, access to rivers, mountains, ocean, and usually there's a job to be found). Folks tend to live where they live cuz it's where they live? And growing up under the moss - I can't really move someplace dry and warm or my skin would fall off. British Colombia is kinda tempting, but I would have to change flags....

Oh no... the whole Northwest is just a lawless hellscape. All of downtown Portland is just a demilitarized zone ever since the BLM protests. No one should even come for a visit, it's WAY too dangerous.Grin. Thanks for all the feedback! (Sorry about the meager two posts - seasonal lurker, rarely doing anything to the rig that hasn't already been posted).
I guess I was mostly hoping to warn folks to be wise about their environment, kinda like adding 2FA on yer bank accounts. I can remove the three locks from the rig in the time it takes my passenger to hop in and click their seat-belt. It was a PITA the first few weeks, but becomes second-nature. I do have access to a secure parking situation that I use when I don't need it as my daily.
Definitely planning to get an alarm down the road, but I'm still recovering from an unplanned layoff, so most of the Cruiser investments these days are just "keep the lights on".
