Remanufactured Steering Rack from Toyota? (1 Viewer)

Hello- Does anyone have any experience buying remanufactured racks direct from Toyota ? Yes... I know OEM new is best... But money is tight and perhaps these are solid. The most off road this rig sees is forest service roads in the summer. Many thanks.

I bought a reman rack from Toyota because new was on back order and I needed a rack right then. It leaked halfway through COTR this weekend after being on the truck for 3-4 weeks. I feel like I rode hard but took it easy on the front end so was surprised that it didn’t even make it through 4 days of wheeling. Gonna try to sort out a warranty claim with Toyota this week sometime.

My OEM reman from toyota works well but the bushings seem to be an issue. I replaced all bits and bobs with Toyota parts and I can watch the rack move about 1/2"-1" within the mounts. Which sucks because I can feel that play in the steering wheel.
