red or blue loctite? (1 Viewer)

doing the oring mod to reduce startup RPM's.

The directions recommend loctite. I bought some red loctite, but after reading the bottle I'm afraid it's permanent and won't allow the screws back out...ever. should I go swap for blue? be gentle, I'm a loctite virgin

If you use Red, you will most likely have to heat up the aera you want to loosen, or you can snap the screw,
Blue allows you to remove the screw later on with out needing to put a torch to it. It gives more,
the red hardens solid, You can smell it (red) when you remove bolts that have it on them.

actually I'd go with green!!!! or just some nail polish from your purse.

And....typically you would use red on steel and blue on aluminum, for the reasons stated above. And in case you don't know, more is not better where Loctite is concerned. Just a dab 'l do ya.

Superglue in a pinch, seems more like blue
