Recovring sun visor

I agree - but add up your time cleaning up the old set in removing whatever is there, painting/prepping the rod, hardware, etc... Then, source a cover (which will be difficult to replicate the OEM look with a cover, unless you don't care), go through the trouble of recovering them hoping the core of whatever you had is stiff enough to support the new cover.

Or, bolt on a 200 dollar set.

Not being cheeky with you - only pointing out that I don't think the juice will be worth the squeeze in saving 50-100$ and not being as happy with the result. On the other side, if you find a local upholstery shop that has a vanilla colored vinyl and recovers them new and snappy to your liking, post the results and cost! I'm sure it would help out a lot of people in the same boat. GL!

OEM for a water pump, wheel cylinder etc. is fine. Visor - get creative, make it yours; I once did a set in embossed/tooled leather.

Lot of options these days. 3D prints, laser etched and then there is choice of materials. Have fun it's a visor!
