Does any one have any experience with rebuilt 1FZFE engines from Napa, Oreilly's, or Autozone. I'm looking for real world experience not naysayers. I realize it wont be as good as an all oem rebuild, but if I can get 200k out of it I'll be happy.

Thanks
Matt

Why don't you just do a LS1 or 2 swap? It's probably going to cost the same

You would probably have better luck with a lowish mile used engine.

More peace of mind than anything, I'm about to hit 200k and I am pretty sure my valve guide seals are leaking.

??????

My real world experience is that a number of different places actually rebuild 1FZEs, but it isn't NAPA, O'reilley's or Vatozone. Search your local engine rebuilders and machine shops.

West Coast Engines does a huge amount of rebuilding. 100s a month. They are located in Los Angeles and would only use resellers. You use to never be able to purchase directly. I think it's changed. The quality was ok. Ive used them in the past with mostly favorable results. Unless its a specialty motor, its rebuild by some of these huge outfits.
