The master window switch in my 80 has needed The Fonz technique (slapping in just the right place) to work properly over the last couple of months and I got all ambitious and decided that since I build stuff for a living that I should disect and repair said switch.
Nope! Didn't work at all.
I bought this truck for a song a couple of years ago and VERY quickly discovered that some basic parts aren't easy to find. Furthermore some parts dealers that specialize in these vehicles are damn near rapists. With some dilligence I've found a few folks I like to do business with and I figured I could score a switch with minimal scarring and the answer from the little dealership in Fl. that's ben so good to me was $300.00!
Nope! F that. You can get a device that has more than 6 buttons that can access the internet for not much more than that.
SOR was around $120. I kept huntin'. Then magic of the internet led me here.

$58 bucks shipped to my doorstep in the Fort Worth area from Atlanta in 2 days with a warranty. It fits, it works, it's the right part. I wanted to share this info since this forum has been an amazing source of info for me as I turned a neglected 80 into my favorite 20 year old vehicle I've ever owned. I hope it helps someone out.
