hi guys and girls

Few months ago , I installed trailtailor rear control arms , due to original being shot to sh*t. Didn’t notice much improvement in the ride quality , however , few weeks later I noticed a clunk and I was able to pinpoint to the j joint on left rear upper control arm . I also noticed that both arms are on the angle pointing towards the middle . Please see the photo below .
So every so often I have to tighten the nut on j joint . It gets better for a few days, but then clunk returns . Also when going over the bumps and potholes , whole back shakes pretty good and feels stiff . Has anyone experienced this issue ? Are arms pointing towards the middle normal ?

In the rear , I have dobinson coils 167 with Ironman foam pro cells .
Thank you for any input and help

Did you adjust them once they were on the truck? You would remove rear drive shaft and put a magnetic angle finder on the flange. From there you can adjust the uppers and lowers to move the axle to the correct location relative to the chassis, and correct your (surely) incorrect pinion angle. My build thread, linked in my signature, has some photos of this process.

The Jonny joints aren't going to gain you any comfort vs OEM rubber, so not surprised you didn't feel much improvement. Also, be sure you're greasing those Jonny joints at every oil change interval.

Back end shaking on bumps can also be your panhard bar. When these trucks are lifted, the panhard geometry is skewed. IAmKeith makes a weld on correction kit to get the angle of that bar corrected.

No, all I did was made sure they are same length as oem . Since I only have adjustable uppers, do you still suggest removing the driveshaft and proper angle adjustment?

I already have panhard drop bracket , no change in ride quality. Sometime in the next couple of weeks , I’m going to install Dobinson ims rear shocks and possibly change to OME 865 springs ; I replaced front IM FCP with dobinson extended and noticed instant difference in ride quality .My newborn is not a huge fan of the bumpiness in the rear 🤣
