Replacing the rear sway bar mounts/bushings and was wondering which way the arrow goes, as well as where the cut/split in the bushing goes in relation to the arrow.

Old ones didn’t have arrows… lolWhen doing mine, I just put them in as they came out….can’t remember without crawling under.
Out of curiosity, are those Toyota brackets and bushings? I just did my bushings only.Replacing the rear sway bar mounts/bushings and was wondering which way the arrow goes, as well as where the cut/split in the bushing goes in relation to the arrow.

Yes both OEM from Toyota.Out of curiosity, are those Toyota brackets and bushings? I just did my bushings only.
Not sure. Took them out weeks ago while waiting for shock rebuild.Which way was the split on the old ones you replaced?
Yeah that’s the first place I looked, not in the diagram or the written description.I just took a peak in the FSM and cannot tell what direction.
That’s how I have it, will torque everything down and monitor wear/binding.I'd position the split section towards the top/rear. The arrow didn't exist when I purchased replacement brackets some years ago. But the bracket is shared by other models and so it might apply there and not here.
But they have a seam…Old ones didn’t have arrows… lol
But they have a seam
Thanks man! That’s how I got it. I don’t think the arrows mean much, bracket/mount look symmetrical to meView attachment 3703210

In the front, note the orientation of the racket. They are not the same, they are asymmetrical and the shoulder of the bracket faces out. My newer Toyota brand bushings. did not have arrows either.
Note it the back that do not mount on the same plane.

When you get under there you will see the stock brackets are not symmetrical. May or may not matter if yours are not identical. Thanks man! That’s how I got it. I don’t think the arrows mean much, bracket/mount look symmetrical to me
