I'm going to be lifting my 2000 LX 1.5 - 2" here in the next week or so, and can't find any clear answer about lift springs for the rear end. It seems a lot of people are just adjusting the sensors and running spring spacers. I would rather replace the stock spring with a taller spring, but searching hasn't yielded much info on the subject. Vehicle is mostly stock at the moment, no bumpers, sliders, or heavy mods that would require stiffer spring rates.

Can anybody touch on the subject, or point me in the right direction?

The rear height sensor position determines your rear height, spacers and changing coils (non AHC or Aussie King coils for example ) change the load/pressure balance as a function of height and load.

I understand that. My question above is pertaining to what spring should I use to replace the stock spring if I plan to raise the rear end 1.5-2" via the sensor adjustment. Are you saying oem LC springs are a common choice? All the information I found about swapping in oem LC springs or 80 springs seemed to only be related to stiffer spring rates as a function of load.

There is no "on size fits all" answer unfortunately. Depends on what your actual end weight/height is over stock and how close to OE AVS damping you want. It's a multi dimensional thing, think of an equilateral triangle with sides representing pressure, weight and height - change one and you affect the other two.
