goldchaser:

Yes, it's double channel rubber. My local autoglass place only has single channel. Thanks for the lead.

Anyone have a pic? Toyota still make a number of vehicles such as the Hiace and Coaster that have sliding windows.
They look a bit the same as the 60 sliders ,athough bigger.
I asked a large aussie glazier and they said they could match it up if they had a sample

Goldchaser's a genius! The guy from Scott's emailed back. He says it's the right seal. It's $42.21 Aus which is about .90/US1$. I'm not sure what's included. I've got an email in to him to clarify. It might just be the double channel interior seal between the glass and the window frame. I need the whole shebang, but it's a start. Trapper, I'll let you know how it works out.

Roscoe, I'll let you know if this doesn't work out.

That's the impression I get. That it is the "internal seal for the window's sliding track inside the frame, still, I need that too. Now if we can just find the outer.

Thanks for chasing this so hard

Not real often i get called a genius apoco girl,i had a quick look at mine yesterday and i might replace them at some stage also, but it looks like the baily channel rubber is the only seal,i can see how they have slots in the rubber for the water to drain away, then slots in the frame under the rubber for drainage also, just make sure none of them are blocked with dirt etc, mine had dirt in them,so with new seals you may have to cut a few slots in them,i think drill holes would block up to easy, looks like it is available over their also.

You'll play hell replacing it with the windows in the truck. I got the Bailey channel referred to in a couple of the threads & it had to be trimmed to be made to work. We (mainly my auto glass guy with me checking on him) might have even glued it it. And you're right - you have to cut out for the drain slots.

When it rains, it pours. I have been waiting for some help with this install for some time. But two threads in the same day! You guys are the best. But I'm embarrassed to say, I could still use a step-by-step if anyone has the patience and inclination. Mant thanks.

The seals showed up from Scott's Old Auto Rubber in Australia less than a week after I ordered them. They look like outstanding quality. I've got a guy who's going to install them for me and figure out the outer seal. I'll let you know.

Grrrl -
Expound on the "outer seal". I finished mine & don't know what you're referring to.
