Hello all,
I have two questions for this topic and I haven’t found it anywhere else. If someone could direct me if this has been mentioned then please and thank you!

1. I removed the third row in my 2014 LX. I want to install the Victory 4x4 rear Molle panels. If I do, I feel a side impact would essential make a grenade out of this. Is there a way to disable the rear airbags semi-permanently? I say this because if I wanted to put the third row back in, I’d want them back.

2. The vehicle has a button that says RSCA OFF. The manual says this is for the curtain airbags. I make it a practice to turn this off so that if I’m wheeling and bump a rock, it won’t explode an airbag and cause my cost that just a bump. Am I thinking of this wrong? Should I just leave it because it’s really speed that will set it off. Also which airbags does this apply to?

For 1, you can probably insert a resistor into the connector for the trigger wires to trick the ecu into thinking it is connected, therefore preventing a dash light. But I see two potential problems.. a) finding the resistance. You can’t just ohm out the airbag due to the risk of triggering it. b) you need to be sure there is a separate curtain airbag for the third row, and that the deactivation won’t endanger the second row or maybe the first. I’m not familiar with the side curtain layout of a 200, but this may be researchable from salvage vehicle photos..
