Frank,

Terrific work so far. Really think the molle addition is brilliant.

What if you hinged the molle panel to swing down with a latch so that it is perpendicular to the ground while the wing is in the open position?

I though of this when I had the back of my truck jacked up to remove a wheel. With 5" of lift and 37s, it's still in a great position (I'm 6'1") on flat ground. But if you are on a hill or on rocks, the wing would be way up in the air.

Obviously a matter of convenience because you could just climb in the back and remove from the inside...just a thought I had.

I think if you add another hinge and latch for the molle, you are adding unecessary moving parts that may rattle and additional weight that will reduce the strut operating loaf of your molly attachments. I personally would prefer the molle attachment plate stay fixed as-is.

On that note, side swing/open?
Are you talking about having the hinge on the left or right vertical side of the window? To me that would be really annoying to use. It would be like having an extra set of swingouts to dodge...but at face level.

That's exactly the point of both suggestions. That it does put it all at face level vs up in the air for some of these lifts.

The beauty of the side swing is that your items would be lower and not upside down when mounted in the truck or when swung open...

Regardless, I'm watching only 1 thread on Mud and it's this one. Don't know how this purchase is getting snuck by the :princess:

It's hard to decide, molle panel or storage box.

I like the side-swing idea. Sure, some rain might get in, but if there were a way to prop the window part-way open, you have a really nice vent window.

Price pending I'd love a driver's side wing. These look great!
