The biggest issue with rear radiators is getting them bled. Make sure that you have a high point in which to fill and bleed. On a rear rad configuration, you make have to make an auxiliary hose or tube to do this. Maybe a thermostat housing with a radiator fill built in? I found that although a stock style mechanical pump will push the water back to the radiator, the engine temps stayed more consistent with a good electric pump. I went through 2 of these and ended up spending over $300 to get one that worked as it should. Make sure to shroud and fan the radiator correctly as putting it in the back does not help a cooling issue much. On my truck I ended up taking the thermostat out and using a restrictor instead to control water flow. That took a few tries as well to get correct. I tried thermostatically controlled fan switches, water pumps etc, and nothing worked as well as the fan and pump running all the time. My engine was a 4.7 V8 and the radiator was a stock Toyota 4.5L radiator laying on its back. Pics are on my build several years ago under Project X.
 
I used one of those coolant flush adapters to bleed air out of the engine, put it on the heater hose fitting that comes off the intake manifold.......then just backed it up on a steep hill with the engine running to bleed the rad and hoses
