hey guys, I'm hoping to wrap this up today and finally be able to use my panel and twins that I have been hanging onto for almost a year. I have some space left , looking for suggestions on some useful things I can put in there. I may get an inverter but haven't figured out how big yet, the inverter will likely be mounted on the driver side panel.

My friend mocked it up, I made some changes then I made one for him and one for myself. I later added the brackets for the twin compressors hence why it's two piece. Red wires are 4awg, the black one going to the Spod is 6awg, power supply for everything is 1/0, ground is also 1/0.

It's not reversed, I didn't have any red 6awg wires left, I will wrap it with some red electrical tape later. Thanks for looking out.

Is anyone concerned about heat back there? I'm thinking would a speaker size DC fan fit & add some extra insurance?

I hope you will pardon my ignorance on this subject, but what exactly do you do with the 2 air compressors? I always assumed people had air compressors to pump up tires anytime needed. But that seems like a lot of work, wiring and equipment to just pump up tires.....so is there something else it's used for?

Tires, Air Lockers, Pneumatic Tools, etc.

@Aloha Jen I'm doing it just for fun, One twin compressor will fill my 37" tires from 10psi to 40psi in about 2.5 minutes. I'm also running a train horn that I have in my garage for the last two years so it will keep my horn going and air tools if needed. All the hard work is pretty much done, now it's all little stuff to tie it all together.
The black box in the picture makes wiring about as simple as it gets, unless someone can make tesla coils.

@GW Nugget i will likely use some computer fans to move the air around. I will not put the plastic panel cover back on, that should allow for air to move more freely.

All my wiring will go to the spod, the blue cat 5 wire you see will go to the digital controller. I will not need to run wires for every item I have to the front where the switches are.

@Aloha Jen @socallove Almost forgot about train horns!

I only store fluids and some parts in the rear 1/4 well. It sort of becomes a cluster after a while. If I ran any electrical back there I'd suggest making sure that there is no leaks coming in from the sliding windows and pressure vent. Would your panel help storing things back there? Or is it more specifically for electrical setup?

Chris, mine is designed specifically for electrical junk, as you can see. I made an attempt at making a storage unit but the curvatures on the body makes it challanging. While I was working on that, something else was conceived but it didn't seem practical. I made a cardboard paper mock up of it, don't know where the pictures are.

some progress, both compressors are wired up. The Spod is a miracle worker, one Ethernet wire to the front and I can control everything hooked up to the rear panel.

No vibrations when both compressors are running, I'm super happy with the bracket.
